Earlier this week, Mariah The Scientist appeared on the radio with her “2 You” single to preview her Ry Ry World album, due out this Friday (July 7). As a final offering before the release, she presents Aura, which will be accompanied by an accompanying visual on Friday. On the new song, “Aura,” she displays her penmanship:

As part of REVOLT’s “Women To Watch” list for 2020, Mariah The Scientist’s track “Beetlejuice” was highlighted. Fast forward a year later, her honest lyrics continue to cement her status as an artist due to her “sultry sounds” and “modern romance full of ups and downs.”

The origin of Mariah’s songwriting was one of the only things she discussed in one of her only recent interviews. With all the shit she was going through, she wondered why things were the way they were. The thought of dissecting that didn’t escape me. Therefore, it’s like: What ails your heart, and why do you feel so shitty? A sentimental tone emerged, almost as if it was a story.”
