Nick Cannon calls on Fat Joe to help him squash Eminem beef
Nick Cannon is hoping that Fat Joe will help him resolve his issues with Eminem. He spoke about the feud in detail during an installment of “The Fat Joe Show”.
“One day, hopefully, dude and I will get an opportunity to sit down, ’cause like I said, I do respect his ability,” the “Wild ‘n Out” creator said about Em.
Then, Joe stated that he is willing to help facilitate a conversation between Cannon and the “Not Afraid” rapper, and in response, Cannon stated that he would accept the offer gladly. According to the radio host, he also got in touch with Royce Da 5’9” to discuss the possibility of mediation.
“If you can do it, man,” Cannon told Joe. “I been trying to get… I done talked to Royce [5’9”], we trying to really get it popping, ’cause I think at the end, two men need to have that conversation.”
“While you at it, tell [Royce] to come,” Cannon added. “We’ll set up an exclusive ‘Wild’ n Out’ Detroit.”
It was back in 2009 that their rivalry began, thanks to the release of Eminem’s “Bagpipes From Bagdad,” wherein he openly dissed Cannon and his former wife Mariah Carey. Just last year, the feud was reignited as Slim Shady called out Cannon on Joe’s track “Lord Above,” and in response, Cannon created several songs dissing the former.
Interestingly, 50 Cent, Joyner Lucas and others spoke about the three singles dissing Em, while Joey Crack chose to stay out of it.
“I’m an innocent bystander!” Joe previously told TMZ. “I love Nick Cannon, he’s a good guy. Eminem’s a very good friend of mine, and they got their little personal hip hop thing going.”
“When you talk rap, Eminem’s a G.O.A.T. He’s an alien,” he added. “I look up to Eminem lyrically… I love them both. I think this is fun stuff [that’s] going on.”
